This rod isn't part of an official series of rods (yet), but for those familiar, this falls comfortably between the reliable "Weekender" Series, and the unbeatable "Enthusiast" series fly rods. Slightly Faster than most Mod-Fast action fly rods, but slightly slower than most Fast actions, it hits a very sweet spot of price and performance. Built with a Full Wells grip and full-sized fighting butt, with a heavy-duty stainless reel seat in between. This rod is designed to do two things and do them well. First, throw larger, heavier flies for big trout, big bass, and even steelhead. Second, have all the backbone it needs to land those same hard fighting fish.
